More of Highway # 1, part 2

The next day on the road. We had changed plans and decided to drive down to San Diego that evening.
Solvang, a Danish colony was on our way. I couldn't believe it until I saw it: all the buildings, all those people, even the sweets in the bakery - they were really Danish. If you removed all the big cars and the English, you could have imagined you were in some little Danish village.
In the afternoon, we paid a short visit to Santa Barbara (this cute old people's town by the sea) and drove through Malibu to the Getty Center (took some time till we found our way but finally...). Because of the fog and the rain, you couldn't see any house from up there but it was still preeeeetty sweet!
